PRIMARY SPIRE

Early stage concepting for a personal project. After a year and a half of primarily work-related obligations and projects, my schedule has finally cleared up enough to allow me to explore some world-building and structural ideations again.

I quite liked the world showed off in Scorn, which has primarily Giger with some Beksinski influences thrown it, so I started thinking of using some of those elements but within different contexts and with more architectural intent. So I plan to be exploring more spaces, facades, structural elements and more.

For this, I used mandelbulb formulas to create a collection of initial modules, which I then deformed and arrayed to create the structure above. Most mesh manipulation was done in Blender and Zbrush, while the rendering and post production was done in Blender and Affinity Photo.
